What Form I-360 Is
Form I-360 is the special immigrant petition covering a broad set of categories: VAWA self-petitions, widows and widowers of U.S. citizens, religious workers, special immigrant juveniles, Iraqi and Afghan translators, and Amerasians.
VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) filings are the most common use. Abused spouses, children, and parents of U.S. citizens or LPRs can self-petition confidentially — the abuser is never notified. USCIS applies a favorable evidentiary standard reflecting the reality that abuse victims often lack traditional documentation.
Filing Fee
The USCIS filing fee is $515 for most I-360 categories. VAWA self-petitioners and Amerasians file free. Special immigrant juveniles and Afghan/Iraqi translators may also qualify for fee-free filing.
